Messy Charcoals.

I did a charcoal drawing in my first year for my FMP (final major project), I chose to explore my background and culture.

This is a drawing of an Algerian woman with tattoos on her face. It was very common to have symbols all over your body, each having a meaning story to tell.
This is still unfinished till now, I have to sort out the neck, and maybe add a little colour. :)

Cultural Journey.

For my first brief, we were asked to look at cultures that had influenced Manchester, I chose to explore Indian culture because it's tradition and history is so rich, and interesting.

I've decided to explore the foods and spices that come from india such as chilly peppers and then produce large scale drawings from them and look at all the different colour schemes and shapes that I can find within it.

This is a mood board showing all the things that inpired me, it is a very busy mood board to reflect how rich and colourful Indian culture is. 

This was just the biginning of it, I'll post the rest soon :)
